The Main Attractions
White Water Rafting
Cover around 9 km of the Kali River in an inflatable raft with a trained instructor. Features a good mix of Grade 2 and 3 rapids.
Kayaking
Paddle solo or with a partner. Explore a quieter section of the Kali River at your own pace after a quick instructor lesson.
Jungle Safari
Open jeep safari inside the Kali Tiger Reserve. Spot gaur, sambar deer, hornbills, and rarely, black panthers or leopards.
Zipline
Run through the forest canopy for a bird's-eye view. No physical exertion required, just strap in and launch.
Boating
The most relaxed water activity. A motorboat ride through tree-lined river stretches. Spot kingfishers and cormorants.
Coracle Ride
A short, fun ride in a traditional round bamboo boat. It spins slightly across calm water. Highly popular with children.
Cave Trekking (Half Day)
While rafting gets all the attention, this trek gives you natural caves, freshwater springs, and ancient shrines that most visitors never see. It involves uneven paths and low-clearance passages.

Common Mistakes
Booking ONLY rafting
Most visitors who only book rafting leave wishing they had added a safari or cave trek.
Skipping the cave guide
The route isn't marked. Without a local guide, you will miss key spots or get lost.
Ignoring the post-monsoon window
The forest right after monsoon (Sept–Oct) is stunning. Don't just look at rafting dates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Dandeli safe for non-swimmers?
Yes. Life jackets are mandatory for all water activities. Boating, coracle rides, and cave trekking do not involve entering the water.
How many days are enough for Dandeli?
Two nights and three days is enough to cover the main activities. Add one more day if you want to include cave trekking, bird watching, and a second safari slot.
Can I visit Dandeli on a day trip from Goa?
Dandeli is about 80 km from Panaji. A day trip is possible but rushed. An overnight stay is highly recommended.
Are there ATMs in Dandeli?
Yes, but carry cash. Mobile network coverage is inconsistent in forest areas, and card payments are not universally accepted at activity operators.
What should I pack for cave trekking?
Closed grip shoes, light comfortable clothing, 1–2 litres of water, a small snack, and a torch or your phone flashlight. Leave heavy bags at the resort.
Need Help Booking Activities?
